Romantic and inspiring. Those are the two best adjectives to define Rome.
Discover the Dolce Vita with Endeus and find the perfect place to enjoy this magical city. The roman lifestyle celebrates pleasure and luxury, so go ahead and explore the lively streets and enjoy some good drinks or coffee with friends.
Rome is also the cradle of western art. Enjoy great classical works of ancient romans and Renaissance paintings and buildings. The entire city is dynamic and full of passion.
So, why do you want to visit Rome? Is it for the astonishing artistic heritage? Is it for the Italian cuisine? Whatever reasons you have for traveling to Rome, you’ll fall in love with all the details that make the city exceptional. Just keep your eyes open!

What to do in Rome

Rome’s sightseeing is breath-taking. Ancient buildings like the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Pantheon are reminders of the golden age of this spectacular city that once was the capital of the world. Basilicas, like St Peter, are also part of the landscape, since Rome has always been the seat of the Catholic Church.
Also, there are a lot of tourist attractions related to art. The Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum, the Capitoline Museums… Marvellous paintings and sculptures that will stimulate you.

Although if you’re on the hunt for some underground art, stay away from the museums and explore the streets of some alternative districts like Ostiense where you can find amazing pieces of street art.
Rome is full of restaurants and trattorias, so you can eat all the pizza and pasta that you want. Make sure you leave room for a gelato and a shot of delicious coffee!
At Endeus we like the unusual, and that’s why we recommend some alternative places to visit like the House of Owls or Casina delle Civette. This surreal house has a lot of windows with different shapes, turrets, arches and gables of different heights, and a garden with exotic plants.

Tips

• Rome is stunning with all its cobblestone streets and amazing architecture. However, getting around with a wheeled suitcase on all these cobbles actually is harder than it sounds so please try to drop off your luggage before exploring the city.

• There are many taxis which can be hailed on the street, but please be aware that there are many illegal unmarked taxis who often rip-off tourists and charge exorbitant rates for airport trips. Look for registered taxis with a meter.

• After a long day of walking around and visiting key attractions you are going to want to sit and relax. Often we look at a wine menu and pick a medium priced bottle thinking it will be better than the house wines, however in Rome this is not the case. House wines are often amazing and are served by the litre in many establishments, so it is worth trying a small glass of the house wine prior to ordering a bottle to see what you think.

• It is important to note that while asking for directions is encouraged (if you are lost) it is best to ask inside an establishment and not just the locals on the street. Sadly the locals seem to have got a little tired of playing ‘tour guide’ to millions of tourists each year, so check your directions and try to make a plan in advance or ask in a shop or café for help and guidance.
